Project #3, A world without, a world askew

1) Oftentimes we think of Photoshop as a way to add more to an image via compositing, effects, color manipulation, etc. Think about all the images that could be made more powerful by an absence- streets, hallways, faces, etc…. Use your phone or camera and take your own images or find images on the web and use your photoshop skills to take things away rather than add them in.

2) The other thing we often do with Photoshop is try very hard to make things look “natural”. How can you make something look obviously Photoshopped and have it not become a cliché? Can you take a tool in Photoshop and use it for something it’s not intended for?
